Travel Immunization

Apart from routine childhood immunization, vaccines for diseases prevalent in the country of destination may be required.

International certificate required only for yellow fever.

While choosing vaccines, assess the disease risk.

Apart from vaccines advice, stress on use of hygienic water and foods, environmental hazards, and prophylaxis against malaria.

For sub-Saharan countries, meningococcal vaccine and polio booster also recommended.
