Read the side effects of Venetoclax as described in the medical literature. In case of any doubt consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Fever, fatigue, peripheral edema (accumulation of excess fluid in the body that causes swelling), back pain and headache.
Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and constipation.
Severe cough, upper respiratory tract infections, pneumonia, chest pain, wheezing and breathing difficulties.
Anemia, neutropenia (reduced white blood cell count) and reduced platelet count.
Tumor lysis Syndrome, increased levels of potassium, phosphorus or uric acid in the blood and low levels of calcium.
Other Precautions :
• Do not take more than the recommended dose of the drug as overdose may result in drug toxicity and tumor lysis syndrome.
• Read the prescription leaflet carefully before taking the drug to avoid drug interactions.
• Do not take additional dose on the same day if venetoclax causes vomiting.
