Side effect(s) of Alectinib

Read the side effects of Alectinib as described in the medical literature. In case of any doubt consult your doctor or pharmacist.

General: Muscle pain, weakness, swelling in the hands and the feet, increased weight.

Gastrointestinal: Constipation, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite.

Skin: Rash

Central Nervous System: Headache

Respiratory System: Cough, lung disease, difficulty in breathing.

Eye: Blurred vision, changes in vision.

Cardiovascular System: Chest pain, reduced heart rate, fainting.

Liver: Liver damage resulting in yellowing of skin and white of eyes, dark urine and itchy skin.



Other Precautions :  Do not take double the dose of the drug to compensate the missed dose.
Doctors must inform patients about side effects of muscle pain and pneumonia while prescribing the drug.

Drug Name : Alectinib

Alectinib is an anticancer drug prescribed for treating ALK-positive metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), a type of lung cancer detected by an FDA approved test.
