How to Take Phenobarbitone and it's Dose

It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Adult- PO- The recommended dose is 30 to 60mg once daily or in divided doses.
IM/IV- The recommended dose is 100 to 200mg.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with acute intermittent porphyria, severe lung insufficiency, and obstructive sleep apnea, liver and kidney disease.

Drug Name : Phenobarbitone

This medication is a barbiturate, prescribed for seizures, and treating sleep disorders.
