How to Take Pediarix Vaccine and it's Dose


It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the large muscle.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

The primary immunization series is 3 doses of 0.5 mL, given intramuscularly, at 6- to 8-week intervals (preferably 8 weeks).

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with encephalopathy, progressive neurologic disorder, including infantile spasms, uncontrolled epilepsy due to previous administration of any pertussis-containing vaccine within 7 days and hypersensitivity.
