How to Take Oxyphenonium and it's Dose


It comes as a tablet to take by mouth.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Oral: Adult- The recommended dose is 5 to 10 mg.
Child: 3 to 5 mg.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with urinary obstruction, paralytic ileus and myasthenia gravis.

This medication is an antimuscarinic agent, prescribed for peptic ulcer and it prevents muscle spasm in the gastrointestinal tract.
