Olaratumab is administered as an intravenous infusion diluted in 0.9% sodium chloride.The injection is administered slowly over an hour.
Dosage & When it is to be taken
Olaratumab is administered in a dosage of 15 mg/kg as a slow intravenous injection on day 1 and day 8 of the 21-day chemotherapy cycle. It is administered along with the anticancer drug doxorubicin for the first 8 cycles.
The course of the treatment depends on how well the patient responds to the treatment.
When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)
Currently, there are no definite contraindications to the use of olaratumab drug.
