How to Take Ertapenem and it's Dose

It is usually given as an injection at your doctor's office, hospital, or clinic.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Adults: IV/IM- 1g/day for 7 to 14 days. Children: 15 mg/kg twice daily.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Allergic to penicillins or cephalosporins, or local anesthetics.

Drug Name : Ertapenem

This medication is an antibiotic, prescribed for moderate to severe infections like abdomen, skin, diabetic foot, community acquired pneumonia, urinary tract infections, prophylaxis of surgical-site infection following elective colorectal surgery.
