How to Take Dichlorphenamide and it's Dose


It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Adult- Oral- The recommended dose is 100 to 200 mg (2 to 4 tablets), followed by 100 mg (2 tablets) every 12 hours. The recommended maintenance dosage for adults is 25 to 50 mg once to three times daily.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with liver or kidney failure, adrenocortical insufficiency, acidity, lung obstruction, low level of minerals in blood and hypersensitivity.

This medication is a sulfonamide and carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, prescribed for glaucoma.
