How to Take Cephalexin and it's Dose

It comes as a capsule, tablet and liquid to take by mouth, with or without food.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Adult: PO- Susceptible infections- The recommended dose is 1-2 g/day in divided doses. Up to 6 g/day in more serious infections.
Prophylaxis against recurrent UTI- The recommended dose is 125 mg/day at night.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Hypersensitivity.

Drug Name : Cephalexin

This medication is a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, prescribed for susceptible infections.
