Axicabtagene should be administered in a well-equipped healthcare facility.
Administer other anticancer drugs like cyclophosphamide and fludarabine before infusion.
Patient’s identity must be verified before infusion.
Premedication with acetaminophen and an H1-antihistamine should be taken to prevent infusion-related side effects.
Patient’s blood will be collected by a process called “leukapheresis” which will help with concentrating the white blood cells.
The patient should get three days of chemotherapy to prepare before the infusion. Patients should be monitored for at least seven days after the infusion.
Healthcare provider will do all the blood tests to follow the progress.
Dosing of Axicabtagene is based on the number of chimeric antigen receptor-positive T cells.

Axicabtagene is available as a cell suspension for infusion by a catheter placed in a vein for treating large B cell lymphoma. It takes less than 30min for complete infusion.Dosing of Axicabtagene is based on the number of chimeric antigen receptor-positive T cells.
