When and How to Take Rabeprazole
- Rabeprazole is available as a delayed-release tablet that is taken orally once a day.
- When treating ulcers, the tablets are used in the morning after breakfast.
- The tablets are given twice daily, with the morning and evening meals, for seven days as part of a treatment regimen that also includes other medications to get rid of H. pylori.
- Swallow the tablets as a whole instead of crushing, chewing or breaking them.
- Follow the instructions as given in the doctor’s prescription
- Do not exceed or skip a dose. If a dose is missed, take the medication as soon as it is remembered.
