â€¢ Most Common :
â€¢ Gastrointestinal : Constipation, abdominal cramps, weight loss, nausea, vomiting, mouth ulceration, diarrhea, intestinal necrosis and loss of appetite.
â€¢ Genitourinary : Painful urination, bed-wetting and increased urination.
â€¢ Heart : High/low blood pressure and heart attack.
â€¢ Blood : Bone marrow depression.
â€¢ Miscellaneous : Fever and headache.
Adult- PO- The recommended dose is 1.4-1.5 mg/m2 once weekly. Max: 2 mg/week.
It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein.
Contraindicated in patients with demyelinating form of Charcot-Marie-Tooth syndrome (an inherited disorder of nerves).
â€¢ Caution should be exercised in patients with history of infection, decrease in blood counts, blood problems due to chemotherapy, liver disease, muscle problems, nerve disease, any allergy, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
â€¢ It may cause dizziness or lightheadedness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
Avoid excess dosage.
Store it in refrigerator (2Â°-8Â°C), protect from light.
