â€¢ Metabolic :
Electrolyte disturbances, dehydration, dry mouth, increased sugar, increased urination, elevated liver enzyme and loss of appetite.
â€¢ Central Nervous System : Headache, dizziness, weakness, drowsiness and confusion.
â€¢ Miscellaneous : Stomach cramps, impotence, ringing in the ear and hearing loss.
PO- The recommended dose range is 2.5 â€“ 200mg/day.
It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food.
Contraindicated in patients with anuria (absence of urination), and hypersensitivity.
â€¢ Caution should be exercised in patients with history of diabetes, gout, kidney or liver disease, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
â€¢ Correct electrolyte disturbances and urinary disorders before treatment.
â€¢ Monitor electrolyte balance, glucose, uric acid, creatinine and lipid level regularly while taking this medication.
â€¢ It may cause dizziness or drowsiness, do not drive a car or operate machinery, while taking this medication.
Avoid excess dosage.
Store it at controlled room temperature (15Â° to 30Â°C), and in an airtight container.
