â€¢ General :
Fever, headache, swelling in the extremities, chills, weakness, chest pain, fluid retention, abdominal pain, and back pain.
â€¢ Metabolic : Increase or decrease in liver enzymes and increased sugar.
â€¢ Gastrointestinal : Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, mouth ulcer, indigestion, gastrointestinal bleeding, constipation, difficulty in swallowing and loss of appetite.
â€¢ Respiratory : Inflammation of pharynx, nosebleed, difficulty in breathing and nose inflammation.
â€¢ Blood : Blood vomiting, decrease in white blood cells, platelets.
â€¢ Genitourinary : Blood in urine.
â€¢ Skin : Rash, hair loss and itching.
â€¢ Central Nervous System : Tingling, anxiety and sleeplessness.
â€¢ Musculoskeletal : Bone pain and joint pain.
â€¢ Eye : Eye bleeding.
â€¢ Heart : High blood pressure, high cholesterol and fast heart rate.
IV/SC- The recommended dose is 250mcg/mÂ²/day, over a 4-hour infusion. Start approximately on day 11 or four days following the completion of induction chemotherapy.
It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein or under the skin.
Contraindicated in patients with certain bone marrow disorders, concomitant use with chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and hypersensitivity.
â€¢ Caution should be exercised in patients with history of fluid retention, irregular heartbeat, lung disorder or breathing problems, heart, liver or kidney disease, cancer, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
â€¢ It may cause dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
â€¢ It may affect blood sugar level; monitor sugar level regularly while taking this medication.
â€¢ Monitor liver function, kidney function, blood counts, body weight, fluid and electrolyte level regularly while taking this medication.
Avoid excess dosage.
Store it in refrigerator (2-8Â°C). Do not freeze it.
