The starting dose (rivastigmine tartrate) is 1.5 mg twice a day (BID).
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, dyspepsia, anorexia, headache, drowsiness, weight loss, asthenia. Agitation, confusion, depression, sweating. Gastrointestinal haemorrhage. Potential for baldder outflow obstruction.
It comes as a capsule to take by mouth, with or without food.
Hypersensitivity.
Caution should be exercised in patients with history of kidney problems, certain heart problems, seizures, stomach or bowel problems, lung or breathing problems, urinary blockage, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
It may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or fainting, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
Avoid excess dosage.
Store it at room temperature and in an airtight container.
