â€¢ Gastrointestinal :
Nausea, abdominal distress, loss of appetite, constipation and diarrhea.
â€¢ Central Nervous System : Uneasiness, drowsiness, unsteadiness, sweating and headache.
â€¢ Miscellaneous : Skin rash, flushing of face, increase in heart rate and depth of respiration, slight increase in blood pressure and excessive sedation.
Capsule- Adults: 150 mg 2 times per day. The dose may be increased to 150 mg 3 times or 300 mg 2 times per day.
Tablet- Adults: 100 to 300 mg in divided doses.
IV/IM- 1 to 4 mL is repeated every 3 hours.
It comes as a tablet and capsule to take by mouth, with or without food. It also comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein or muscle.
It should not be given in large doses and contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity.
â€¢ Caution should be exercised in patients with history of increased eye pressure, liver or heart problems, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
â€¢ It may cause drowsiness or dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
â€¢ Avoid alcohol consumption.
Avoid excess dosage.
Store it at room temperature (20Â° to 25Â°C) and in an airtight container. Keep away from children.
