  Allergic reactions: Skin eruptions, itching and tongue inflammation.

  Central Nervous System: Dizziness, faintness and drowsiness.

Dosage & When it is to be taken (Indications)

PO- The recommended dose is 1 to 2 teaspoonfuls 4 times a day, 15 minutes before each meal and at bed time.

How to use Mucaine?

It comes as syrup to take by mouth, without food.

When is Mucaine not to be taken? (Contraindications)

Hypersensitivity.

Warnings and Precautions for Mucaine

Caution should be exercised in patients with history of kidney impairment, appendicitis, decreased level of phosphate in blood, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

• Avoid long-term use of this medication; otherwise it will lead to hypophosphatemia (decreased level of phosphate in blood).

• It may cause dizziness or drowsiness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.

Other Precautions for Mucaine

Shake well before use.

Storage Conditions for Mucaine

Store it at controlled room temperature and in an airtight container. Do not freeze it.
