Side effects of Diamig (50 mg)

  Most Common (Gastrointestinal)- Abdominal pain/bloating, diarrhea, flatulence, ileus (including paralytic ileus), subileus, gastrointestinal pain, nausea, abdominal distention.

Dosage & When it is to be taken (Indications)

PO- The initial recommended dose is 25 mg 3 times daily. It may be increased after four to eight weeks to 50-100mg three times daily.

How to use Diamig (50 mg)?

It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with food.

When is Diamig (50 mg) not to be taken? (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with diabetic ketoacidosis (high blood glucose with the presence of ketones in the urine), inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal blockage, prolonged intestinal diseases and hypersensitivity.

Warnings and Precautions for Diamig (50 mg)

Caution should be exercised in patients with history of decreased level of sugar in blood, kidney impairment, liver disease, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Other Precautions for Diamig (50 mg)

Monitor blood sugar level regularly.

Store it at room temperature (15-30°C), and in an airtight container.
