IM/IV/PO- The recommended dose is 15 mg (10 mg/m2) every 6 hours.
Diarrhea, severe allergic reactions like rash, hives, itching, and difficulty in breathing or swallowing.
It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein or muscle. It also comes as a tablet to take by mouth.
Contraindicated in patients with anemia (B12 deficiency) and hypersensitivity.
Caution needed for patients with history of blood problems, pleural effusion, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Avoid excess dosage.
Store in refrigerated conditions (2 to 8°C), protect from light and heat.
