Adult- IM/IV- The recommended dose is 500mg to 1gm per day in divided doses.
Severe Effects :
Ear damage, kidney damage and paralysis.
General :
Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, pain, redness or swelling at the injection site.
It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein or muscle.
It should not be used in long-term treatment. Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity.
Caution should be exercised in patients with history of dehydration, brain nerve damage, myasthenia gravis, Parkinson disease, kidney failure, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
It may cause dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
It may lead to dehydration; drink plenty of fluid.
Extreme caution needed for newborns.
Avoid excess dosage.
Store it at room temperature (15° to 30°C).
