â€¢ Eye : Eye inflammation.
â€¢ Gastrointestinal : Abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, sensory loss, nausea and vomiting.
â€¢ General : Weakness, chest pain, swelling in the leg, fatigue, injection site burning/ pain and fever.
â€¢ Infections : Injection site infection, respiratory tract infection and urinary tract infection.
â€¢ Metabolic : Excess fluid, gout and increase/decrease in blood sugar.
â€¢ Musculoskeletal : Tissue disorders, joint pain/inflammation, back pain and muscle cramp/pain.
â€¢ Central Nervous System : Dizziness, headache and decreased sensitivity.
â€¢ Respiratory : Increased cough, difficulty in breathing, nose congestion and inflammation of pharynx, nose.
â€¢ Skin : Itching and rash.

IV- The recommended dose is 1000 mg over 2 to 5 minutes infusion, in divided doses within 2 weeks time.
It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein.
Contraindicated in patients with excess iron in the body, other than iron deficiency anemia (eg-Vitamin deficiency anemia, megaloblastic anemia) and hypersensitivity.
â€¢ It should not be administered via intradermal, subcutaneous and intra muscular routes.
â€¢ It may cause dizziness, lightheadedness or fainting, do not drive a car, operate machinery while taking this medication.
â€¢ Do not use in children.
â€¢ Caution needed in elderly patients and pregnant women.
Avoid excess dosage.
Store it at controlled room temperature (59Â° to 86Â°F). Protect from freezing.
