PO- The recommended dose is 200 to 400 mg 4 hourly. Max: 2.4 g/day.
Central Nervous System: Dizziness and headache.
Skin: Rash and hives.
Gastrointestinal: Nausea and vomiting.
It comes as tablets, capsules, granules and syrup, to take orally with or without food as directed by your physician.
Hypersensitivity.
Caution should be exercised in patients with history of persistent cough e.g. occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema, cough accompanied by excessive secretions, cough with a fever, rash or persistent headache, pregnancy, lactation, porphyria.
Avoid abrupt withdrawal, otherwise excessive elevations in blood pressure and symptoms such as nervousness, headache and confusion may occur.
Store it in room temperature and in airtight container. Keep away from children.
