    Dosage & When it is to be taken (Indications)

    Adult: PO- As elemental Fe: Treatment: 60mg 2-4 times/day. Prevention: 60 mg/day.

    Side effects of Vitodac SYR

    Gastrointestinal : Stomach cramping, constipation, nausea, vomiting, dark stools, heartburn, diarrhea, teeth staining and urine discoloration.

    How to use Vitodac SYR?

    It comes as a syrup to take by mouth, on an empty stomach.

    When Should Vitodac SYR not be taken? (Contraindications)

    Contraindicated in patients with haemolytic anemia, haemochromatosis (a genetic disorder).


    Warnings and Precautions for Vitodac SYR

    Caution should be exercised in patients with history of peptic ulcer, Crohn disease, digestive problems, intestinal inflammation or ulcer, and those who receive frequent blood transfusions.

    It should not to be used in premature infants.

    Avoid long-term use (more than 6 months) of this medication, except in patients with continuous menorrhagia or bleeding.

    Other Precautions for Vitodac SYR

    Avoid excess dosage.

    Storage Conditions for Vitodac SYR

    Store it at room temperature (20 to 25°C).
