    Medical condition(s) for which Butop may be prescribed


    Dosage & When it is to be taken (Indications)

    Adult: Topical As 1% cream: For tinea pedis: Apply twice daily for 7 days. For tinea corporis, tinea cruris and tinea versicolor: Apply once daily for 2 weeks.

    Side effects of Butop

    Local:Mild burning sensation at the site of application, severe blistering, itching, redness, peeling, dryness, swelling, or irritation of the skin.

    How to use Butop?

    It comes as a cream to apply topically.

    When Should Butop not be taken? (Contraindications)

    Application to eye area.

    Warnings and Precautions for Butop

    Avoid occlusive dressings. Avoid contact with mouth, eyes and other mucous membranes.

    Affected areas should be thoroughly cleansed with soap and dried prior to application.

    Hands should always be washed after applying cream. Do not use this in children less than 12 years.

    Other Precautions for Butop

    Avoid the use of occlusive dressings unless otherwise directed by the physician.

    Store it at room temperature, and keep away from children.
