BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Dr Gunjan Gangrade Deshpande MBBS, DNB (Ophthalmology), FAICO (Glaucoma), FICO (UK), MRCSEd [email protected] Dr Gunjan completed her MBBS and internship from GMC Nagpur in 2005. She earned her post graduation degree from the prestigious Shri Ganapati Netralaya, Jalna in ophthalmology in 2010. She is a fellow of the highly esteemed International Council of Ophthalmology, United Kingdom. Owing to her keen interest in glaucoma, she cleared the All India Collegium of Ophthalmology fellowship examination in glaucoma in 2013. Read more.. She has been extensively trained in cataract (phaco surgery), glaucoma (congenital and adult), glaucoma drainage implants, micro-invasive glaucoma surgery and phaco-refractive cataract surgeries (including multifocal, toric and phakic IOLs). She also holds a special interest in contact lenses and low visual aids.

She has been conferred the Best Private Practitioner Award and Best Publication Award at Maharashtra State Conferences 2017 and 2019. She has published papers in indexed and non indexed journals and has been invited as a guest speaker at various conferences. She is a reviewer for European Journal of Ophthalmology.

Currently she works as Glaucoma and Phaco Surgeon at Max Vision, advanced eye care centre at Nagpur. She caters to and has operated upon foreign nationals as well. [shrink]
