Why is Zafirlukast Prescribed? (Indications)

This medication is an oral leukotriene receptor antagonist (LTRA), prescribed for asthma. It blocks the action of certain natural substances that cause swelling and tightening of the airways.

When should Zafirlukast not be taken? (Contraindications)

Hypersensitivity.

What is the dosage of Zafirlukast?

Adult- The recommended dose is 20 mg twice daily.
Child- The recommended dose is 10 mg twice daily.

How should Zafirlukast be taken?
