Why is Nilotinib Prescribed? (Indications)

This medication is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, prescribed for leukemia. It prevents the growth of cancer cells.

When should Nilotinib not be taken? (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with low blood potassium or magnesium levels, long QT syndrome (irregular heartbeat), and hypersensitivity.

What is the dosage of Nilotinib?

PO- The recommended dose is 300 mg orally twice daily.

How should Nilotinib be taken?

It comes as a capsule to take by mouth, without food.

What are the warnings and precautions for Nilotinib?
