This medication is an anticholinergic agent, prescribed for treating certain eye conditions such as iritis and iridocyclitis. It works by widening (dilating) the pupil of the eye.

Contraindicated in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma, and hypersensitivity.

Instill 1 drop of a 2% solution in the eye(s) immediately before the procedure; may repeat at 10-minute intervals as necessary.
