This medication is an antispasmodic, prescribed for gastrointestinal tract spasm. 

When should Dicycloverine Hydrochloride not to be taken? (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with intestinal obstruction, myasthenia gravis, glaucoma, and infants less than 6 months old.

What is the dosage of Dicycloverine Hydrochloride?

Adult: PO- The recommended dose is 10-20 mg 3 times/day.
IM- 20 mg 4 times/day for 1-2 days.

It comes as a tablet, capsule, and suspension to take by mouth, with or without food.

Can Dicycloverine or Dicyclomine be prescribed during or after a heart attack? In a recent case the patient had overlapping symptom of severe GERD and myocrdial infarction. A combination of Mucingel [Mucaine] and Cyclopam was prescribed. Patient showed elevated heart rate and shallow breathing within 1 hour of taking cyclopam. Can a single dose of this medication cause aggravated heart attack or a life-threatening condition?
