Symptoms and Signs of Varicocele

Symptoms and signs of varicocele depend on the grade of the varicocele.

Low grade is not visible or palpable but can only be picked up by an ultrasound of the scrotum

Modest grades of varicocele can cause pain, dragging sensation, uneasiness and may be felt on standing up. These may reduce spontaneously on lying down.

Still higher grades can be seen as a bulge on the affected side of the scrotum and felt as a bag of worms. It may cause a drop in the sperm count of the man and hinder attempts at his partner getting pregnant.

Varicocele repair surgery is generally covered by most insurance policies. You can generally find a surgeon in your area that can perform outpatient surgery.

Sir,

I had varicocele and did a microsurgery 4 months a go in June 2012. Now I feel that it is back and also sometimes I feel pain as it was in the past.

Doctor told me that it will not come back after microsurgery. I paid a lot of money for it and now it is back. please suggest me what to do now?
