I had a TURP biopsy on May 3, 2012 and I was able to remove the catheter two days after the surgery. After my surgery I could urinate a little better and over a few days the bleeding began to cease. Problems:

Bladder spasms with pain so great that I could feel the pain move up my torso, into my arms and go deeply into my hands....which would literally throb. Taking Oxybutynin with minor relief.

Swollen prostate. Taking Avodart and it seems to be working.

Urinary urgency and Incontinence: Frequent and happens without warning. Good days and bad days. Doctor may have split my urethrea because urine sprays and dribbles from an apparent tear in the glans. No better than prior to the surgery.

Sex: May be partially psychological but no desire and no erections.

Would I do it again: NO
