If symptoms are not disregarded and proper and timely medical help is availed swine flu could well be combated. An awareness to avert the infection should also be instilled among the public.

All this panic is a short term stress reaction to the media hype in line with the expectations of those intent on pushing their health care products to the top. Flu is known to mutations but as with any other infection it is usually self limitting as long as proper preventive measures & healthy habbits are adhered to. Don't panic, be vigilant and practice good health

avoid going to crowded places if you are having cough, cold fever.get yourself checked by your physician,if he assures you that no further testing needed, accept it because not all patients having common cold like symptoms need to be tested to rule out swine flu,do not get panic, follow common instructions of personal hygenie.

HINI pandemic is a definite cause of serious concern for a India because it ia populous nation with a fragile health infrastructure.Look at the way India is responding to this epidemic. We refuse to shut down schools and other crowded places till the incidence of H1N1 cases come down. We do not actively use mass communication to educate people about preventive measures to control the spread of the virus. We do not distribute masks freely across the affected cities.Instead we turn a blind eye to hoarding and profiteering in the mask distribution.Testing and treatment of H1NI is kept with the government excluding the private sector in the fight against the pandemic. There is lack of political will in the country to form a common strategy and contingency plans to contain the pandemic.
