Hi my name is Jan and I am just happy to finally find something on line that may explain what is happening to me. I was at my witts end and was afraid to tell anyone and not sure exactly how to if I did. I have had several serious illnesses including breast cancer 3 times and ovarian cancer once. I also had bariatric surgery then plastic surgery to remove 75 pounds of fat and skin which I had gained doing Cancer treatments. For about a year I had no feeling in the lower abdomen and sex was not enjoyable at all but then about 6 months ago I started feeling and doing the weirdest things. I dont sleep for several nights in a row because of these feelings of being sexually aroused but having sex doesn't stop it, it last for hours and sometimes days. sometimes it will just hit me when I am in the grocery store or driving down the road. the worst was at my ten year olds school program for veterans day when he was honoring my husband I had to leave I broke out into a sweat and the arousal was so bad it was painful I went out and ran the school track. is there any help for us. I don't know if it has anything to do with it but I also have restless leg syndrome.

Jan - I know this post is older and that you might not even think to check and see this, but I wanted to let you know that I feel so badly for the both of us. I also have PGAD, and first found out the name for it today. At first, the doctors thought it might be a problem with my kidneys or bladder, but every single test they did showed nothing. I am almost 62 years old, and this started when I was 57-58. Some days, like today it is worse, and I am so uncomfortable all the time. Other days are a little better, giving me periods of a few hours when the symptoms are not quite so bad. What I felt I wanted to tell you is that I also have RLS. The more I think about this, the more I personally feel that there is a definite connection between the two. My RLS has been around a long time, probably 25 years or more, and about 5 years ago it started affecting my arms as well. I think as the RLS gets worse new symptoms or additional parts of the body have become affected by the RLS.

Hi my name is Jackie and I thought something was wronh with me. I have read the responses from other women, and it surprises me, I thought i was the only one that did crazy things when i was young or still today. I am married and it is causing trouble in my marriage. I am trying to figure out a way in my mind to stop it, but i keep coming back to feeling turned on. This is a first step for me, saying it out loud. I will look for help soon. thanks

hi i am sargam .m not sure if i am suffering from the same condition bt certainly i do some wierd things whenever i get these arousal feelings which happen quite often. i dnt masturbate thats for sure . infact some times i do it deliberately to get rid of my tensions and anxiety..i have been doing so since my childhood nd yes its definitely psychological..one good wayout from this is to make urself go so busy dat u dnt get time for that.. rather join some dance classes or aerobics ..this will certainly give u relief...i knw m talking very abstract bt yeah it wrks jst try it once.

I'm not sure if I would've fell into this catagory or not. I started masterbating at 5yrs old and I first started out with short dull objects like crayons, then eventually sharper and longer like pencils, pokers to fire places, shears/sissors, hangers, meat cleavers, and whatever I could use in place of a dildo. I've been able to go without masterbating for months, sometines years and then for no apparent reason it will hit me again. I'm 34 now, and I had a relative sexually assult me at 5yrs old.

i am 55 and this disorder started when i had my hysterectomy. it drives me nuts. It is there in my sleep and all day long. i have items to take care of this, but it really does not finish the job. Because it starts all over again. the only thing that seems to control it on me is actual human contact for me. even then it may start all over again in about a half a day. i was 40 when this started. So this has been a long time. i thought i was alone in this problem. And does anyone have the same problem as me, with the actual human contact

Hi everyone: I'm Jan Lee, a psychiatric RN turned hypnotist. I have been very drawn to the stories of all of you with this disabling disorder. Hypnosis is a way to bypass the conscious mind [ the busy part of the mind] and access the subconscious mind ( the quiet receptive, noncritical part ) and establish selective ideas and thinking. It is not so complicated. It is like a rewiring of the brain. We can help people manage pain by this "rewiring." I so believe I can help you with this using hypnosis. When you are lost in a powerful book or movie, you are in a state of hypnosis..Your logical mind has simply stepped away allowing the subconscious mind to take in the experience. I live 20 miles northeast of pittsburgh, pennsylvania ( USA) I want to help you and believe I can help. Hypnosis will help you relax, focus and in a way "transform" the overstimulation into a manageable state...This is new territory for me, but I am excited with the possibility of helping you. Ask yourself: If you even get 10 percent relief would you do this? I will discuss my fees. I believe we can possibly do this over skype. I know this is hell and the reaction by some to this disorder is more upsetting. Please contact me : Jan Lee (724-884-3307)you can text me at this number . Or email me at [email protected] Find me on facebook ( Jan Waltenbaugh Lee)

Posted by KK 13 09 2011 1]What are the possible reasons for Persistent Sexual Arousal Syndrome [PSAS) / Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder (PGAD)in men , what are the remedies as it equally uneasy for men to tolerate .Any research done and results . 2)On the contrary if the wife is frigid and man has PSAS/PGAD , THE LIFE OF THE COUPLE BECOMES A LIVING HELL with frequent heated debates , arguments , incompatibility, divorce , and several possible mishaps, trauma to kids and so on if not addressed by medical community .There could be several couple with this condition eagerly waiting for a solution.

I live in NZ and have never met anyone else like myself who feels sexually aroused for about 80% of my waking hours even if it is totally inappropriate or really 'unsexy' circumstances. I have to mastubate for relief but within minutes the feeling comes back again. This started on the 16th July 2010 for no apparent reason at all. I struggle to remain faithful to my husband and have torrid fantasies no matter how busy I am with work and other things. I went from a very low sex drive to craving it all day long. Ironically it is becoming harder and harder to climax during sex but I still feel like I want tohave sex all day. I am thankful that I appear to have a mild version of this disoder. It could be worse from what I have read. I don't have spontaneous orgasms all day like some women who can no longer work because of it. My doctor was not able to help and to be honest there is a small part of me that doesn't want it to go away completely unless I ended up the opposite. I certainly feel more "alive" since this has happened it's just that I feel tingly and aroused way too much.....even as I write this. I have managed to get my number of orgasms down to 1 to 2 a day down from 5! Other than that life is great.

I have Regs and it totally sucks. I have had it since I was eleven at least. I think my baby sister has it too. She is 8. It hurts so bad all the time. I just found out by talking to my mothers best friend. I thought I was a sex addict. I told her what was going on and she saw a show on t.v. and we looked it up together. I am so grateful I found out. IM on lexapro and I masterbate once a week now. I did atleast 4 times a day since 7th grade. It still hurts and my stomach does but it is so much better. I tried my mothers antidepressant when I found out and it helped instantly. Same with my Lexapro. My lower back still hurts. Pgad ruined my life socialy I don't want to see my friends ever. High school i excluded myself dramatically. I was never sure why. But I can start my new life now that I know of this syndrome. And I am glad it is rare because It hurts so bad. It probably isn't as temendously rare as 400 women in the world. Those poor women just haven't found out what it was. If I wouldn't have talked to my friend I probably never would have found out. I didn't find out for nine years.

Same story. I've had it since nine, so has my sister who is currently ten and my mother. Does your family have restless leg syndrome? It is common. This seems to be heredity so I will not have children, just adopt I couldn't wish this on anyone escipally my child. I talked to one friend after ten years of suffering and discovered. How old are you I'm 19.
