New York has several doctors who have been doing research on these health problem. Google Dr. Christina Coyle from Jacobi Hospital. She has done researches and has experience with this infections. Heads up, the treatment is heavy and long. I am suffering the struggle of this problem too. I had a brain surgery and that was easier than the medications. Good luck

Surgery! I just experience my first brain surgery and by surprise they found a worm in my cyst. Now I am in treatment with albendazole and steroids. The treatment is worst than the surgery. The treatment will be for a year and steroids in high amounts produce other problems!

My brother also had same problem. He had diagnosed with same problem last year in January and yesterday he had got same symptoms again. We had a full dose for the treatment for 18 months, as doctor said.
But now we are shocked to see the symptoms again. Please note we are vegetarians and still faced this problem.

Can anyone tell us:
1. some of the good experts. Currently we are referring to Mr Sunil Mallik [Neurologist], Dr Kawre etc.
2. Is this problem cures permanently or one has to take medicines throughout life?
3. Is there any specialist/hospital for this who can guide in better way?
4. What about other ways to cure?..Homeopathy?, Ajmer baba etc?

My father is suffering from Nuerocysticercosis since the last 9 months. He was on Albendazole twice for about 3 weeks each time. The number and size of the cysts have gone down to about half but some still exists. The doctor is careful and does want to overdose him on Albendazole but my father has the episodes of memory loss every few months. What other options do we have for his treatment? Also, can we share the Nuerosurgeon/Nuero doctors names and info here so that other people can benefit from them. My father is currently being treated by Dr. Mahendra in MS Ramaiah hospital in Bangalore.

I am 25 yr girl. My testosterone is very high. I have fecial hair problem reason for it hormone. Its my major problem in my life. I take doctor's treatment but I am not satisfy, never any changes in my testosterone.

Anyone suffering from Neurocysticercosis please note

me Mamta Thakur, I am suffering , seizures, nausea, doctors said 3 years of medication and if things at last after 3 years will be surgery, than someone told me about the below mention person, within half hour he took out 3 worms with the cyst and the outer shell of the worms from my rain, medication is on going as he said there is net in ur brain so in ur brain so it will take 3 months but with my own eyes and without any pain literally saw the 3 worms, shell and the cyst.

non of the doctors, neuro science is and will be believing this but for those who are suffering we know the pain the worst feeling and as we try everything lets also try this one too.. 1000 of proves are there of living persons who got healed.

Have faith in God...

Hi Everyone, I'm 31 years old and I'm also a victim of this tapeworm in brain. I suddenly got a severe headaache and went to emergency room last month. They did CT scan and MRI and several other blood tests and confirmed the cyst in my brain of size 8x7mm. They prescribed me albendazole[400mg morning and night] along with some steroids(prednisone) to reduce inflammation and kepra(750mg once a day) to avoid any possibility of seizures. They got another MRI two weeks back and the cyst size is about 4x4mm at that time. I hope it reduces fully. After seeing the posts here it looks like it might go and come back again any time in a few years!! Not sure how to deal with it and if there is a remedy to fully get away with it. I will check with my doctor when I meet her next time and update!! Have a good day!!

guys i was also suffering from neurocysticerosis problem.i also got the same problem last year in sept 2012.bit now i am properly fine because i went to ajmer city.there is a person he is having a medicine which he puts in the ear and nose and worm comes out from nose wiyh in 2-3 mins.it is really faithful.pls try to go there it saved my life.many doctors also come there for treatment

My brain mri revealed coalescing granulomata measuring 8 x 4 mm abut ting cuneus in the right side, which appear hyper intense in long try images with hyper intense intramural modules and minimal perilesional oedema in flair images. Lesions appear hypointense in short try images and do not show enhancement in set 1 gd images. Neurologists have pointed neurocysticircosis in degenerative stage and advised tab levitrecetam 500mg nd and tab folic acid 5 mg od . I'm. Feeling a sense of imbalance while i stand or walk its very less but it does affect a lot in my concentration. Is medical advice ok or shall I go in for a second opinion

I am suffering from tapeworms in my brain. The CT scan report showed that there is not neurocysticercosis signs prevailing in brain. But i have all the symptoms that occur during this disease. I am suffering lot from this disease. I asked the doctors to give me medicine of tapeworms but they said without diagnosis it is not possible. plz suggest me...

hello everyone...I was diagnosed with neurocysticercosis 2 years before i.e. in Dec 2010. I took all the medication until the doctor told me stop after verifying that I am cured [with MRI diagnosis]...but recently 1 month before I got a seizure and when did MRI it was found that I am having neurocysticercosis on the same spot. Is it possible? I am in search of the tablet Cysticide but we searched everywhere in Pune and Mumbai but still couldn't find it....plz if anybody knows where I can find it tell me
