While following the south beach diet certain rules have to be kept in mind. 1. Drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water, decaffeinated sugar free soda, tea, coffee and decaffeinated beverages. 2. 1 multivitamin and mineral supplement should be taken daily. 3. Caffeine containing beverages should be limited to just 1 cup per day. 4. Men and women below 50 should take 500 mg of calcium which should be increased to 1000 mg for women aged above 50. |
