Seizures: Convulsions; sudden, involuntary movements of the muscles.Trauma: An injury (as a wound) to living tissue caused by an extrinsic agent.
Paralysis: Loss of the ability to move a part of the body or the entire body.
Nocturnal: Relating to or taking place at night.
Partial seizures: An abnormal electrical discharge in a certain area of the brain, affecting only certain functions. Also known as focal seizures.
Pacemaker: A group of cells, known as the sinoatrial node, that are located in the atrium of the heart and serve to regulate the rate and rhythm of the heart. An artificial cardiac pacemaker is an electrical device used to simulate the natural process by generating electrical impulses.
Narcolepsy: A disorder that causes excessive sleepiness during the day and frequent and uncontrollable episodes of falling asleep.
Encephalitis: Inflammation of the brain caused by infection.
Meningitis: Inflammation of the meninges (layers of tissue that protect the brain)
REM sleep: The period of sleep known as Rapid Eye Movement sleep, when dreaming seems to occur.
Adenoidectomy: It is removal of adenoids with the help of surgery.
Tonsillectomy: It is surgical removal of the tonsils.
