These are extremely painful and sometimes involve the gums as well. In case of an acute infection, the gums could become intensely reddish. Sometimes the lips, cheeks, tongue and the throat are also affected, making the patient extremely uncomfortable. Soon after their appearance, the yellow boils burst and become covered with a grayish membrane, accentuating the pain to a further degree.
