Electromyography (EMG): A technique used to evaluate and record the electrical activity produced by skeletal muscles, which are muscles under voluntary control.Mechanical Ventilation: Mechanical ventilators take the work of our lungs. These are used for patients who are undergoing surgery under general anesthesia, and for those who can’t effectively breath on their own.
Sepsis: A serious illness; a consequence of the body’s overwhelming response to an infection.
Shock: Extreme fall in blood pressure.
