Introduction to Grains

RSS Feeds   Text
Grains have been the foundation for good nutrition for time immemorial. Thousands of years ago, the Israelites took unleavened bread with them when they traveled from Egypt into the desert. The food guide pyramid shows that you need generous amounts of these foods each day to maintain health and prevent disease.

The Indian diet includes a variety of cereals and grains in the day-to-day diet. May it be bread for breakfast or parathas, or theplas or idlis or just tea.
