What is the function of the gallbladder?

RSS Feeds   Text
The main functions of the gall bladder are storage and concentration of bile. Since fat cannot be dissolved in water, our body has a unique system for this purpose. When fat
is eaten, the gall bladder gets stimulated and it contracts causing the bile to flow via the cystic duct, into the common bile duct and into the intestine where the actual digestion of fats take place.
