I had lasik 1yr ago at LasikMD with Dr. Keon Nia and was only able to return to work recently as I have finally learned to deal with the constant eye pain and poor vision that was the end result of my procedure. I don't think this procedure is safe and that the lasik docs are not being entirely honest with their patients. If you are looking into lasik surgery beware that it does not always go well.

My advice is to stick with your contact lenses and/or glasses.

That's not true. there is no age limit. After 40 you are more likely to have monovision surgery or still have to wear reading glasses, but it all depends on the person. My 42 year old friend got monovision, while my 50 year old friend got regular lasik, with reading glasses, his wife skipped the surgery because she required monovision at 49.
