Vaccination for Japanese encephalitis Japanese encephalitis can be prevented by administration of Japanese Encephalitis Virus Vaccine. The vaccine works by directing your one’s body to produce substances against virus (anti-bodies). The vaccine can be prescribed / administered by a doctor or other certified health care professional. The vaccine is given in the form of injection using syringe and needle. Dosage: The number of doses a person has to receive and the time interval between the doses will vary from person to person. Children up to 1 year of age Use and dose determined by the doctor. Adult and children over 1 year of age A total of 3 doses injected under the skin on Day 0, Day 7 and Day 30. Note: |
