Cow's Milk-rBGH: Good news for EFA |
|
Text
|
People these days have understood the importance if EFA (essential Fatty Acids). They have at last got their due among consumers. Omega 3 fat, alpha linolenic acid is found in good quantity in cow’s milk. It is a good substitute for vegetarians who do not consume fishes.New research from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland states that organic milk is a better source of omega 3 fats, as compared to conventional milk. Organic milk had 71 % more omega 3 fats than normal milk. |

Posted on: 05/04/2012 its ridiculous that some people even raise these type of questions.... !!!
how can you call something non-veg if it is not obtained by killing that animal...
non-vegetarianism is all about killing animals for filling your tummies!!!!

Posted on: 10/30/2011 I THOUROUGHLY BELIEVE THAT THOSE WHO HAVE HEART OR BLOOD PASSING THROUGH THE BODY IS DEFINED AS NON-VEG. WHY EGG IS ALSO CALLED NON-VEG. BECAUSE, EGG GIVES BIRTH. WHY WE HAVE DEFENED SEPERATELY FRUITS AND VEGETABLE. TO UNDERSTAND THE THINGS PROPERLY. SO IT IS BETTER TO NOT CALLED MILK AS VEG. OR NON.VEG. IT IS CAN BE DEFINED AS MILK. |

Posted on: 08/25/2011 ok!
To those who believe that we all came [variation and selection] from apes!!!
so I say we are animals. And this problem can be solved if you can differentiate carnivorous animal and herbivours animals.
The one who eats the same as carnivorous animal eat is a Non-vegetarian! the one who eats the same as the herbivorous animal is a vegetarian!
so actually telling in a biochemical point of view all animals, plants, virus, bacteria, fungi etc. are made up of the same 4 biomoloecules or macromolecules which govern the living organism: carbohydrate, lipid, protein and nucleic acid.
whether you eat a plant material or animal material you eat these 4 macromolecules in large and small quantities of vitamins, minerals etc. |

Posted on: 12/01/2009 Some people say that "Vegetarians consume vegetables, grains, fruit, nuts, milk, curd, ghee and honey, since the animal is not hurt for producing them" then I guess you can eat the meat of an animal that died a natural death and died a peaceful death without any pains. Only vegans are true vegetarians because they know that both milk and eggs are actually non-veg. The others have their eggs, milk and eat ice-cream that has gelatin very shamelessly and then call themselves vegetarians. Milk has fat which is nothing but the fat that is found sticking to meat. I guess then you can eat this fat as well but not eat the meat. Its like fooling your own self.

Posted on: 10/27/2010 it's not true that people who consume milk are non vegetarians.i think you have mistaken and telling things to people which you should do by confirming first.and i totally agree with what roohi said.and let the animal die naturally or by the necessity of humans, but you are consuming it. |

Posted on: 08/28/2009 Does India allow the use of rGBH in their dairy industry? I was hoping that it was banned in India like in Canada and some of Europe. I eat some prepared dishes from India that contain butter and cream. It's our emergency Dal, when I am preparing a meal in a rush. I will not buy them again if they contain rGBH dairy. Are the cows abused there in the dairy industry like they are in the US? Has Food, Inc been released in India yet? It's an important documentary to see.

Posted on: 03/22/2010 To your post, i can say a few things
Although India may not have a strict regulatory authority, i can confidently tell you that cows here are not tortured or mistreated. Among Hindu's, a Cow is a god and no man will dare hurt it... they roam freely on the roads and can enter any area without being pelted by stones or beaten..... Let alone be mistreated by us in closed sheds.... we do not practise mechanical dairies here as it is considered inhuman |

Posted on: 06/28/2010 Hi pankajDont show yourself a hindu unless sufficient knowledge.I would like to know in which chapter of ayurveda milk is described with proof as veg food?Offering god means not vegeterian. In some shakti temple animals are sacrified and slaughtered then the blood and meat offered to godess and bhairav dev the incarnation of lord shiva. Please dont make hinduism as joke please.First learn then tell.We are not here to discuss the food value of milk but to ensure whether it is veg or non=veg. |
