Conjunctivitis or Pink Eye is the most common eye disease.

Conjunctivitis or Pink Eye may be transmitted to the eye by contaminated    hands, washcloths or towels, cosmetics, false eyelashes or    improper usage of contact lenses.

Mostly both eyes are affected, but often one starts before    the other.

Wear dark glasses if you have Pink ey and are going out in the sun, also have tissue paper as running eyes is common. Frequent hand washes as indicated in the article is very important to prevent infection from person to person.
