Conjunctivitis or Pink Eye is diagnosed during a routine eye examination using a slit lamp microscope. In some cases, cultures are taken to determine the type of bacteria causing the infection. In some circumstances, fluorescent eye drops are used to examine the eye better.

Wear dark glasses if you have Pink ey and are going out in the sun, also have tissue paper as running eyes is common. Frequent hand washes as indicated in the article is very important to prevent infection from person to person.
