A form of long standing skin disease associated with itching in people with allergies, bronchial Asthma and skin disorder known as Atopic dermatitis is also associated with cataract. Complicated cataract: These occur secondary to other eye problems such as retinal detachment, which is the detachment of the screen (retina) over which the light rays fall. Congenital cataract: Cataract seen at birth which may be due to hereditary causes, unknown causes and maternal infections. Cigarette smoking and alcohol intake are also being considered as risk factors but there have to be further comfirmed by future trials. |
