No matter how efficient these fad diets are they are only temporary means of weight loss. Being deficient in nutrients they aid in faster weight loss but are not advocated for long term use. The best way to loose and maintain weight is a steady mix of diet and exercise. A healthy diet full and complete in all nutrients and food groups plus a regime of exercise surely helps in maintaining an ideal body weight.

I would suggest that instead of using cabbage as the meal that you substitute it for snacks and perhaps one meal each day. I lost 20 pounds in one month in this way. And it was not water weight. I was also working out at least 3 days per week.
