Anyone can get a boil. However, people with certain illnesses are more likely to develop boils. Among these illnesses are diabetes and kidney failure. Diseases that are associated with deficiencies in the normal immune system can increase the tendency to develop boils.

What can be done to prevent abscesses?

Hi, I find that I get them, especially on my backside, when I'm doing a detox. I guess because the toxins are getting released from my body and they are really annoying and unpleasant to get so I feel your pain. I find turmeric powder helps, I also take the capsules. As far as scarring goes you can try glycolic acid. It seems to lighten scars. I use DDF skin brightening cleanser as my body wash.

Hi I don't want to identify my name I'm 22 years old.one day my sister and her friend came home with balls that was painful and sticky green looking pus was coming out. Maybe 2 weeks later i had one growing on the side of my stomach it was painful, I was very hot I could not move and that was around July now I just keep getting when I shave or without shaving.I'M worry because my 3 year old daughter has caught one on her knee today. It's very hard and it's red, she cries if you touch it or if she put's her clothes on.I went to the doctors all they did was look at it and said it was from shaving but my baby don't shave. One day I heard a girl in the doctors say she had some on an her back. So i will like to know what is it that everybody is getting that doctors don't want to test

Hi, I’m the same had them since 18 and now 27 i still get them, got one now which hurts and is hot i hate it i no i should go hospital coz antibiotics aint helping but i dont like what the operation involves :[ i had the same problem with my doctor they just give me tablets that done nothing, in the end i changed doctors and told the new ones i couldn’t take much more of it i then got to see someone at the hospital they told me i have a condition called Troublesome Hidradenitis Suppurativa you may have it too the guy i saw at the hospital told me to get hibiscrub i find it does help its about £10 and a different set of antibiotics which seemed to do more than what the doctor gave me. If you can try the wash stuff and see if you can see someone at the hospital. I no how u feel about being tired of hurting i feel quite down when i get them come up there not nice and i dont think that people who dont get them no how it REALLY feels. Hope you get some thing sorted. L
