This is a common condition affecting newborns. The partial or complete obstruction in the duct system that carries tears away from the eye is known as "Dacryostenosis."
One or both eyes can be constantly filled with tears or mucus. Infection of the tear duct or gland is called dacryocystitis. This can be contagious. |
